This is the completed ebauche (underpainting) for "Krista 2" 9"x12" oil on panel. My Daughter dyed her hair a darker shade which threw me off a bit. I guess when I paint now I'm kind of reacting to particular areas as part of a greater whole so that theres a particular harmony that I try to achieve. The darker hair doesn't really seem to go with the skin coloring of the portait so far. She swears it will be back to the way it was in a few weeks so maybe by the time I'm ready it will have lightened up!
