"Krista" 9"x12" oil on linen on panel, "Chicken Scratch and Bomber" 9"x12", graphite on paper. I decided to start over with my portrait of my daughter. I transferred to a new canvas and this is the first stage of the beauche or underpainting. I'm trying to keep the colors clear and vibrant and get the large planes right first. So far I'm liking this one a lot better and I'm glad I rebooted. The drawing is for a new painting. I've decided to stop making paintings inspired by things that I've seen in other artists work and to start painting the things that I know, hopefully this is a step in the right direction!
